Presidential Inauguration 2009 - A Student Tour, Washington, DC, Jan 18-21,2009

Be there to witness history in the making at the 2009 Presidential Inauguration! In addition to being on hand to see the new president sworn in, celebrate your patriotism at a “Mock” Inaugural Ball where participants will enjoy dinner, dancing, and a visit from past presidents who will share their own inaugural speeches.  Learn the history of our country and its leaders with visits to national landmarks such as Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington nestled along the slopes of the Potomac River; the Arlington National Cemetery which is the final resting place for President John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Audie Murphy, prizefighter Joe Louis, and thousands of soldiers from every major U.S. war; and the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of American History where the original notes to the “Star Spangled Banner” are on display.
